About the EXPO

Muchinga Province, comprising of eight (8) Districts, intends to hold its Investment Forum and Expo in 2023.  By hosting the Investment Forum and Expo 2023, the province through the use of the integrated (multi-sectoral) development approach, will take advantage of the comparative and competitive advantages of the region by showcasing the investment opportunities in sectors such as Agriculture, Tourism, Energy, Manufacturing and Mining to mention but a few.

Government recognizes that in order to deliver inclusive and equitable development to the citizens, it requires concerted efforts and commitment from all stakeholders. This is why in actualizing the Investment Forum and Expo 2023, Government will bring on board the private sector as key stakeholders in realizing the objectives of this planned event. 2023 will, therefore, leave an indelible mark to the people of Zambia, particularly Muchinga Province as the region will be hosting its first ever Investment Forum and Expo, that will ultimately result in reducing the developmental inequalities the province is experiencing.

Muchinga Province boasts of easy access to markets, and connectivity to the Road and Rail network as well as Energy and Communication systems because of its geological location. And for this reason it is therefore a favourable location for investment due to the following:

• Fertile soil, favourable climatic condition and plenty of land for Agriculture and Livestock Production.
• Abundant water bodies, as well as, good rainfall patterns.
• Commercial and Agricultural land available.
• Unexploited opportunities for Agro-processing and industrial production.
• Plenty of wildlife in several National Parks and unexploited Tourism potential in the Bangweulu Swamps.
• Availability of institutions for provision of Government, banking and insurance Services
• Availability of skilled and unskilled labour force.
• Political stability and favourable national investment policies.
