LUSAKA, July 14, 2025 – A high-level delegation from the University of Zambia (UNZA), led by Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research & Innovation, Professor TRYWELL KALUSOPA, today held a strategic meeting with SMART Zambia’s National Coordinator, Mr. PERCY CHINYAMA, to explore collaboration opportunities in innovation, digital literacy, and artificial intelligence (AI), among other key areas.
The discussions centred on leveraging digital solutions to enhance teaching and learning, aligning with Zambia’s broader digital transformation agenda. Key officials from both institutions participated in the engagement, fostering partnerships to drive technological advancement in education.
The delegation included Professor GISTED MULEYA (Director, Institute of Distance Education), Mr. ALICK NTUTUMA (Manager, Academic Affairs), Mr. DANNY LEZA (Director, ICT), and Mr. BAINED NYIRENDA (Manager, ICT Infrastructure).
SMART Zambia officers included Ms. KASALI MUSENGE (Chief Government Technical Officer), Mr. MULOMBA HAMEJA (Director, DGS), Mr. DANIEL KASAPO (Director, Cybersecurity), and Mr. BRIAN NAWA (Principal Digital Skills and Capabilities Officer)
