LUSAKA, July 11, 2025 – The e-Government Division (SMART Zambia Institute) has successfully completed a three-day hands-on training workshop on the Citizen Support System Portal at Taj Pamodzi Hotel in Lusaka.

The training equipped Information Communication Technology officers, Public Relations officers, and Communication Professionals with the necessary skills to manage and utilize the new digital feedback platform.

Key Features of the Citizen Support Portal:
– Citizen Engagement: Enables citizens to submit feedback, report service delivery issues, and track their cases online.
– Transparency: Enhances transparency and improves government responsiveness to public concerns.
– Accountability: Replaces inefficient manual systems with an interactive digital channel that fosters accountability and engagement.
– Digital Transformation: A significant step towards creating a more responsive and citizen-centered government.

The initiative underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging technology in improving service delivery and promoting citizen participation in governance.

By adopting digital innovations in governance, Zambia is taking a significant step towards a more connected and citizen-focused government.

Muchinga Province is located in the northeast of the country and was created in the year 2011 after detaching it from mother province – Northern Province. The name of the province originates from the Muchinga Escarpment; on which it predominantly sits. The province elongates from southwest to northeast and is located on both sides of the Muchinga Mountains (Muchinga Escarpment).
