GOVERNMENT has called on civil servants in Muchinga Province to aim at translating programmes contained in various government policy documents and plans into tangible solutions that will change the livelihood of many Zambian people.
Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary (PS) Henry Mukungule says there is need for everyone to take a leaf from the Republican President who has committed himself to be a servant of all the Zambian people by providing equal opportunities to all.
Mr Mukungule said this during the official opening of the 2022 fourth quarter Provincial Development Coordinating Committee (PDCC) meeting held at Provincial Administration boardroom this morning.
The PS adds that as the Province prepares to host the Muchinga Province Investment Forum and Expo in october next year, every civil servant, the private sector and other stakeholders should take ownership and pride in the hosting of the Expo.
“This event will be a major stepping stone in transforming the economy of Muchinga Province to what we want to see it in future,” He adds.
“I believe if we all commit to duty and get involved in all the planned activities, the Investment Forum and Expo to be held next year in 2023 will greatly transform Muchinga Province economically,” He says.
The PS has therefore, urged all stakeholders to be ambassadors of the Investment Forum and Expo slated for October 2023 by spreading the message about the event at any given opportunity as they interact with the general public.
Mr Mukungule says the event cannot succeed if it is left to only few individuals saying all assignments need to be done before the actual month of the Expo.
He further thanked all stakeholders in the province for the support given to the Provincial Administration and Government in general in 2022 and urged them to work even hard in 2023 and beyond.
